Honey Bees
The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa is dedicated to sustainability and protecting honey bees in our city.of Denver. And in 2010, our rooftop became home to five colonies of bees. The Brown Palace has hosted royalty on many occasions, but never before welcomed five queens at once!
The Brown Palace’s efforts “pollinate” beyond our rooftop, we donated hives to the Denver Beekeepers Association to help establish more bee colonies. While guests enjoy the hotel, our royal bees are busy pollinating Denver and producing honey. Once our honey is harvested, it is sold in our coffee shop and at times used in recipes and formulas around The Brown Palace Hotel.
The Brown Palace Honey Wheat Beer – is on draft in Ship Tavern and is a customized brew crafted by Denver Beer Co., The Brown Palace Honey Wheat Beer is infused with our own Brown Palace honey from these hard-working rooftop bees at The Brown Palace. Plus this Honey Wheat Beer is brewed with 100% Solar Power and brewed with 95% Colorado grown Malt & Wheat.
