San Francisco based duo of twin brothers Nelson (bass) and Wayne (saxophone). Music started when they joined the school band during fourth grade. They were members of the California All – State Honor Band in high school. Then Nelson studied tuba at San Francisco State University (SFSU), later touring Europe as part of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. Wayne went on to Cal State Northridge, performing as a member of the jazz band. Later they reunited at SFSU.
Both were honored and selected to the Disney All-American Collegiate Band. Turning professional Nelson toured with Najee and Wayne with Sheila E. Then they debuted as the Braxton Brothers in 1996.
