Starting sundown 3/23/24 – 3/24/24 Purim is a lively Jewish holiday full of costumes, pageants, and as mentioned in an earlier post cookies called “Hamantaschen”. This holiday revolves around a story of an interfaith marriage. The heroine Esther of this interfaith marriage uncovers a plot and causes the down fall of the villain – Haman.

Purim 3/23/24 Purim begins at sundown on 3/23/24 and involves cookies called “Hamantaschen”. The villain in the story told during Purim is Haman and taschen translated is pouches or pockets. So the cookies refer to Haman’s pockets.
